"Belesia" by Ignacio Maria Gomez

First Chakra (Root): Walk slowly and focus on all 26 bones in your feet, articulating, connecting. Muladhara means "Root."

A poem from Kindred by Rebecca Wag Sykes is read: "Inside the body The bone Under the skin the blood Over the skin the fur Across the fur the hand From the hand the fire Before the fire the wood Out of the wood the tar Held by the tar the stone Scraped by the stone the red Beneath the red the shell Inside the shell the secret"

"Humble Present" by Vuelto Ciego

Second Chakra (Sacral): We rock lifting one knee and the other in all 4s pose, the water rocks side to side. Feel the fluid nature of this movement which brings oxygen to the hip bones and the home of our 2nd chakra named Svadhisthana meaning "Sweetness."

"Prickly Pear" by Portico Quartet

Third Chakra (Solar Plexus): Breath in filling the disk located above your navel, breath out pushing the navel to your spine. Imagine the fire you contain. Feel your fire, dance with it, breathe with it. We want to feel our personal power, meet challenges and feel confidence. Manipura is "Lustrous Gem."

"I Was Born To Love You" by Ray LaMontagne

Fourth Chakra (Heart): Breathe lifting arms high in the center and twist to the side and let the arms come down to your side while you let the air out. Repeat on the other side. Let the air feed your heart. When the song takes over or your arms get tired (lol) dance the song. This is your heart, it's right is to love and be loved. Anahata is "Unstruck."

"Long Blue Light" by Leif Vollebekk

Fifth Chakra (Throat): Start with a deep nod, this chakra is located in our neck, chins and mouth. Let the movement lead you into where your deep "yes" lives and expresses what you want in your life. Vishuddha is "Purification."

"Olalla" by Blanco White

Sixth Chakra (Third Eye): The element of this chakra is light, it holds the right to see. Its home is in our forehead or 3rd eye. Start by looking forward, slowly turn to the right, slowly turn to the left, turn around. Let the light shine to reveal where you are, where you have been and the path ahead. Let the chakra lead you in dancing all you can see. Ajna is "To Perceive."

"We Might as Well Dance" by Madeleine Peyroux

Seventh Chakra (Crown): The element of this chakra is either and it holds the right to understand. Start with your hands together at your center, raise them up over your head, let them come apart over you and like a rainbow come down over you in an arch which extends down to the earth. When the movement has charged your understanding or when your arms are tired (lol) let the song simply move you. We begin our return trip, to the first chakra during this song, the manifesting current to earth. Sahasrara is "Thousand Fold."

You can repeat the anchoring moves or simply dance each song

"Amali (part 1)" by Tribeqa

"Kulu" by N'Gou Bagayou

Fifth Chakra (Throat)

"Makambo" by Geoffrey Oryema

Fourth Chakra (Heart)

"Maraba Blue" by Abdullah Ibrahim

Third Chakra (Solar Plexus)

Second Chakra (Sacral)

"Azawade" by The Touré-Raichel Collective

Closing song for rest and relaxation: This time is designed for you to let the work land in your body. You can savor the stillness, you can dance the renewed feeling, you can stretch, you can listen and rest.
